Tafsir & Quranic Sciences

Engagement with the Quran is incomplete with memorization and recitation alone, without understanding and reflection. This program therefore teaches the interpretation of verses, the circumstances of revelation, the Makkan and Madinan, the abrogating and abrogated, and the aims of the chapters. We draw on the great exegetes such as al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, and al-Saʿdī, in an accessible manner that links the verses to the learner's life and revives the meanings of reflection in the heart. The student leaves with deeper understanding of the Book of Allah and stronger attachment to its guidance.
